Chah Rao had two sons, Sodha & Sankhala & he also had a daughter named Sanchiya who became “Sati” is now worshipped as diety at Kiradu Temples, Osian (near Jodhpur) & in Amarkot (present day Pakistan).
On the blessings of Sanchiya Devi, Sodha later established Amarkot as his kingdom & went on to rule the Sindh province of Thar and his descents are now called Sodha. The sodha ruled across the entire Sindh Province & the Thar that included parts both from present day India & Pakistan. The story of the protection and assistance extended by the Amarkot Ranas to the Mughal Emperor Humayun when he was escaping the Afghan usurper Sher Shah Suri is legendary and it became the birthplace of Akbar, future Emperor of Delhi. Centuries later Jagirdars from Chacharo Pakistan, a principle Thikana of Amarkot migrated to India due to India Pakistan war in 1971 & settled down across the border in Barmer.
